Concrete Scanning for Rebar Mapping

A company out of Virginia Beach, Virginia called Ground Penetrating Radar Systems to locate the rebar within the structure. With the proper training, we were able to distinguish the locations and depth of the rebar prior to drilling anchors for a fence to be installed. GPRS was able to mark directly on the surface with the location and depths of the reinforcing steel in real time. The owner needed this done to ensure there was not damage done to the wall when the anchors were to be installed and to avoid hitting reinforcing.

The installer of the fence was coming out and needed to drill into the wall without hitting any reinforcing to ensure the depth of the anchors were effectively and properly installed since this was a safety issue. All of our project managers have completed the OSHA 10 training and are currently involved in an ongoing safety training course. Safety is a priority to us at Ground Penetrating Radar Systems and our thirteen-year track record proves it.G
