GPRS Participates in Forensic Investigation

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Virginia was utilized to scan for unmarked graves as part of a forensic investigation in Hampton, VA. The FBI and local Police Department were assisting in an investigation by searching a backyard once owned by a convicted serial killer. They called Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, LLC. to search the area, and after scanning the area, GPRS Project Manager Josiah Donaldson verified the location of several of the “areas of concern” in the backyard. In this situation, GPRS was able to see what the client could not to help narrow down the amount of area required to dig. Although no bodies were found, a couple of “suspicious items” were found that may be of value to the forensic investigation.
